Meet Halo, Smiling Sam’s New Canine Companion!

Halo is the name of Smiling Sam’s new puppy, chosen after nearly 2,000 Good Sam Club members sent in their pet name suggestions. Almost 700 different names were suggested during the contest period.
Ross Bainter of Modesto, California is the winner of the $500 Camping World merchandise certificate in conjunction with the contest. Mr. Bainter was the first member to submit the name “Halo” with 75 other members subsequently suggesting the same name.
Mr. Bainter can use his merchandise certificate to shop at any Camping World SuperCenter, by phone or online at CampingWorld.com. Watch for Smiling Sam and his new furry friend Halo in upcoming issues of Highways!

Dogs for the Deaf
Since 1980 Good Sam Club members have raised millions of dollars in support of Dogs for the Deaf. This Oregon nonprofit organization rescues dogs from shelters and trains them to help people with a variety of disabilities including hearing loss, autism, trauma, depression, stroke, anxiety, PTSD and panic attacks.
