Tybee Island’s River’s End RV Resort is a welcome retreat for RVers seeking a rustic island escape. Its close proximity to the Georgia mainland to gives RVers the added option of exploring Savannah and other Peach State attractions.
Welcoming guests with a quiet, family-friendly environment, River’s End is located only 1.5 blocks from the beach, where visitors can go kayaking or charter-boat fishing in the Atlantic. Guests who seek to simply relax in their rig can enjoy free cable TV at some of the campground’s 100 sites. Full-hookup sites are available with up to 50 amps, and non-RV visitors can stay in one of the park’s cabins, which can hold up to six visitors. The park’s free Wi-Fi enables guests to surf the web from anywhere on the property.
Cool off from the heat at the campground’ swimming pool, or stock up on groceries and RV supplies at the campground store. Air-conditioned bathhouses give guests a chance to enjoy soothing waters without working up a sweat.
Groups are welcome with special group rates and a meeting room for potlucks, business gatherings and family reunions. When it’s time for dinner, guests can gather around the picnic tables at each site and enjoy the pleasant ambience. When the temperatures drop, fire pits help guests to stay warm under the stars.
Busy parents can clean clothes at the campground’s coin-operated laundry while the kids play in the game room. Finished that bestselling paperback? Get a new book at the campground’s book exchange. Rub elbows with other guests at the Monday Potluck Dinner, Wednesday Game Night, Friday Family Movie Night and Saturday Classic Movie Night.
Owned by the City of Tybee, the campground encourages RVers to appreciate their natural environment. Guests can take Surf to Turf Interpretive Walks for a close-up look at wildlife and marine habitats led by a trained naturalist and science teacher, or go on Starry, Starry Nigh hikes to bonue up on nocturnal animals and constellations.
